Privacy policy

Meeto records meetings on Google Meet and Discord, turns them into transcripts and summaries, and keeps them in a shared space for your company. This page says what that involves for you.

The short version

  • We collect what it takes to record, transcribe and summarise your meetings, and nothing for advertising or analytics.
  • We never sell your data, and we don't use it to train AI models.
  • Recordings are seen by people in your company's Meeto Space, under its access rules, and by anyone they choose to share a link with.
  • Everything is kept until it is deleted. Write to us and we will delete your data.

Who we are

Meeto is the service at app.meeto.live, together with the Meeto Capture extension for Chrome and the Meeto Discord bot. Questions and requests: meeto.livee@gmail.com.

When a company uses Meeto, that company decides what gets recorded and who reads it. We store and process the recordings on its behalf.

If you were in a recorded call

Meeto announces itself: on Google Meet the extension posts a notice in the call's chat when it starts recording, and the Discord bot posts one in the channel. Meeto records the call's audio, the screen or video if whoever started it chose to, and the text of that notice, so there is a record that everyone was told. To have a recording deleted, ask the person who started it or an administrator of their company's Space, or write to us.

What we collect

  • Your account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and a Google account ID (scopes: openid, email, profile). We use them to sign you in, to match invitations to you, and to show colleagues who is in the Space.
  • Recordings. Audio of the call, your own microphone as a separate track, and screen video if you chose to record it.
  • What we make from them. Transcripts with speaker names, summaries, decisions and tasks, and the questions you ask Meeto's assistant along with its answers.
  • Who was speaking. On Google Meet and Discord, participants' display names and when each was speaking, so the transcript can name the speakers. On Meet the extension learns this from the call's participant list and the data Meet itself exchanges about the call; where that includes captions, it keeps only who spoke when and never stores or sends the caption text. It never reads chat messages.
  • Google Calendar, only if you connect it. Read-only access to events on your primary calendar (scope calendar.events.readonly). We read an event's title, times, Meet link and, only if you turn on joining meetings with external guests, attendee email addresses, which are used to decide and are not stored. We keep the title and times of meetings Meeto recorded. Disconnecting revokes our access at Google and deletes the token.
  • Discord, only if you add the bot. Your server's ID and name, and in a channel it records, each speaker's voice as a separate track with their display name. The bot does not read messages. Anyone can exclude their own voice with /optout.
  • Your company's Space. Its name, members and roles, and any vocabulary or description of the team that admins add to improve transcripts and summaries.
  • Technical data. A sign-in cookie, and standard web server logs (IP address, the address requested, time) used to keep the service running and secure.

We use no advertising, no analytics and no third-party trackers.

The Chrome extension

  • It records only when you start it, or when a call starts if you turned on automatic recording.
  • It captures the call tab's audio, your microphone, and your screen if you choose to share it.
  • On meet.google.com and discord.com it reads participant names and speaking indicators, as described above. It does not read your email, your browsing history or other websites' content.
  • Access to all websites is optional. It lets the recording panel stay with you when you switch tabs during a screen recording, and is not used to read those pages.
  • It keeps your settings and a sign-in token on your computer, and sends recordings only to Meeto's servers. The exception is a server you enter yourself in its advanced settings, such as your company's own Meeto server or an extra destination for speaker names; then that data goes there too.

How we use it

Only to provide Meeto: to record, transcribe, summarise, find and share your meetings, to keep the service secure, and to fix problems. We never sell data or use it for advertising, and we do not use your recordings or transcripts to train AI models.

Meeto's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Who processes it for us

  • Hetzner (Germany): our server and database, and older recordings until they move to R2.
  • Cloudflare R2 (EU data location): recording storage.
  • Modal (USA): runs speech recognition on rented GPUs. It receives the audio for the duration of each job.
  • Anthropic (USA): Claude writes the summaries and answers the assistant's questions. It receives the transcript, the meeting title and the Space's description.

Some of this processing happens outside the EU, under these providers' contractual safeguards. We will update this list before adding a new provider.

Who can see your data

  • Your company's Space. A member sees the meetings they took part in. A team lead also sees their team's meetings. Company leadership sees all meetings in the Space. Nobody outside the Space can browse it.
  • People you share with. A Space member can create a link to one meeting: a summary only, the transcript, or everything including the recording. It can be restricted to specific Google accounts or protected by a password, and it can expire or be revoked.
  • Us. The people who run Meeto can technically reach the servers. We do so only to keep the service working, to fix a problem you report, or when the law requires it.

How long it is kept

Until it is deleted. There is no automatic expiry. A participant or a Space administrator can delete a meeting, which removes its recording, transcript, summary and chat. Copies in our nightly backups disappear within 14 days.

Sign-in sessions last 14 days and the extension's token 90 days. To delete your account and everything tied to it, write to us. We will do it within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, or to stop processing it, by writing to meeto.livee@gmail.com. If your company recorded you, we will pass the request to it as well. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in (14 days). Opening a shared meeting sets a second one for that link only (up to 12 hours). Neither tracks you, and there are no others.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). We store sign-in tokens and share links only as hashes, share-link passwords as salted hashes, and Google Calendar tokens encrypted.

Children

Meeto is a tool for work and is not meant for anyone under 16.

Changes

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top. If a change affects what we do with your data, we will tell you in Meeto before it takes effect.

Якщо вас записали в дзвінку

Meeto повідомляє про себе: у Google Meet розширення пише в чат дзвінка, коли починає запис, а Discord-бот публікує повідомлення в каналі. Meeto записує звук дзвінка, екран або відео, якщо той, хто запустив запис, так вирішив, і текст цього повідомлення, щоб лишався доказ, що всіх попередили. Щоб видалити запис, зверніться до того, хто його запустив, до адміністратора Простору його компанії або напишіть нам.

Що ми збираємо

  • Ваш акаунт. Коли ви входите через Google, ми отримуємо ваше імʼя, email та ідентифікатор акаунта Google (області доступу openid, email, profile). Вони потрібні, щоб ви могли увійти, щоб повʼязати з вами запрошення і щоб колеги бачили, хто є в Просторі.
  • Записи. Звук дзвінка, ваш мікрофон окремою доріжкою та відео екрана, якщо ви вирішили його записати.
  • Що ми з них робимо. Розшифровки з іменами мовців, підсумки, рішення й задачі, а також ваші запитання до асистента Meeto та його відповіді.
  • Хто говорив. У Google Meet і Discord ми бачимо імена учасників і те, коли кожен говорив, щоб підписати мовців у розшифровці. У Meet розширення бере це зі списку учасників і з даних, якими Meet сам обмінюється про дзвінок; якщо серед них є субтитри, воно залишає лише те, хто й коли говорив, а текст субтитрів ніколи не зберігає й не надсилає. Повідомлень у чаті воно не читає.
  • Google Календар, лише якщо ви його підключили. Доступ тільки на читання до подій основного календаря (область calendar.events.readonly). Ми читаємо назву події, час, посилання на Meet, а email учасників тільки тоді, коли ви ввімкнули приєднання до зустрічей із зовнішніми гостями. Їх використовують для рішення й не зберігають. Ми зберігаємо назву й час зустрічей, які записав Meeto. Відключення календаря відкликає наш доступ у Google і видаляє токен.
  • Discord, лише якщо ви додали бота. Ідентифікатор і назва сервера, а в каналі, який він записує, голос кожного мовця окремою доріжкою з його імʼям. Повідомлення бот не читає. Будь-хто може виключити свій голос командою /optout.
  • Простір вашої компанії. Його назва, учасники й ролі, а також словник чи опис команди, які адміністратори додають для точніших розшифровок і підсумків.
  • Технічні дані. Cookie для входу та стандартні журнали вебсервера (IP-адреса, запитана адреса, час), потрібні для роботи й безпеки сервісу.

Ми не використовуємо реклами, аналітики чи сторонніх трекерів.

Розширення для Chrome

  • Воно записує тільки тоді, коли ви його запускаєте, або на початку дзвінка, якщо ви ввімкнули автоматичний запис.
  • Воно записує звук вкладки з дзвінком, ваш мікрофон і екран, якщо ви вирішили ним поділитися.
  • На meet.google.com і discord.com воно читає імена учасників та індикатори того, хто говорить, як описано вище. Вашу пошту, історію переглядів чи вміст інших сайтів воно не читає.
  • Доступ до всіх сайтів необовʼязковий. Він потрібен, щоб панель запису лишалася з вами, коли ви перемикаєте вкладки під час запису екрана, і не використовується для читання цих сторінок.
  • Налаштування й токен входу зберігаються на вашому компʼютері, а записи надсилаються тільки на сервери Meeto. Виняток — сервер, який ви самі вкажете в розширених налаштуваннях, наприклад власний сервер Meeto вашої компанії чи додаткова адреса для імен мовців; тоді дані потрапляють і туди.

Як ми це використовуємо

Тільки для роботи Meeto: щоб записувати, розшифровувати, підсумовувати, шукати й поширювати ваші зустрічі, підтримувати безпеку сервісу та виправляти проблеми. Ми ніколи не продаємо дані й не використовуємо їх для реклами, а ваші записи й розшифровки не використовуємо для навчання моделей ШІ.

Використання та передача Meeto інформації, отриманої через API Google, відповідає Політиці щодо даних користувачів API Google, зокрема вимогам Limited Use.

Хто обробляє дані для нас

  • Hetzner (Німеччина): наш сервер, база даних і старіші записи, доки їх не перенесено в R2.
  • Cloudflare R2 (зберігання в ЄС): сховище записів.
  • Modal (США): розпізнавання мовлення на орендованих GPU. Отримує звук на час обробки.
  • Anthropic (США): Claude пише підсумки й відповідає на запитання асистенту. Отримує розшифровку, назву зустрічі та опис Простору.

Частина обробки відбувається поза ЄС, із договірними гарантіями цих постачальників. Перш ніж додати нового постачальника, ми оновимо цей список.

Хто бачить ваші дані

  • Простір вашої компанії. Учасник бачить зустрічі, в яких брав участь. Керівник команди також бачить зустрічі своєї команди. Керівництво компанії бачить усі зустрічі в Просторі. Ніхто поза Простором не може його переглядати.
  • Ті, з ким поділилися. Учасник Простору може створити посилання на одну зустріч: лише підсумок, розшифровка або все разом із записом. Його можна обмежити певними акаунтами Google або захистити паролем, а також задати термін дії чи відкликати.
  • Ми. Люди, які підтримують Meeto, технічно мають доступ до серверів. Ми користуємося ним тільки для роботи сервісу, для виправлення проблеми, про яку ви повідомили, або коли цього вимагає закон.

Як довго це зберігається

Доки його не видалять. Автоматичного терміну немає. Учасник зустрічі або адміністратор Простору може її видалити, і тоді зникають запис, розшифровка, підсумок і чат. Копії в щоденних резервних копіях зникають протягом 14 днів.

Сеанс входу діє 14 днів, токен розширення 90 днів. Щоб видалити акаунт і все, що з ним повʼязано, напишіть нам. Ми зробимо це протягом 30 днів.

Ваші права

Ви можете попросити копію своїх даних, виправити чи видалити їх або припинити їх обробку, написавши на meeto.livee@gmail.com. Якщо вас записала компанія, ми також передамо запит їй. Якщо ви в ЄС чи Великій Британії, можете звернутися зі скаргою до органу із захисту даних.

Cookie

Один cookie потрібен для входу (14 днів). Відкриття зустрічі за посиланням додає ще один, тільки для цього посилання (до 12 годин). Жоден із них не стежить за вами, інших немає.

Безпека

Увесь трафік зашифровано (HTTPS). Токени входу й посилань ми зберігаємо лише як хеші, паролі посилань як хеші із сіллю, а токени Google Календаря в зашифрованому вигляді.

Діти

Meeto — робочий інструмент і не призначений для людей, молодших за 16 років.

Зміни

Коли ця політика змінюється, ми оновлюємо дату вгорі. Якщо зміна стосується того, що ми робимо з вашими даними, ми повідомимо про це в Meeto заздалегідь.
